Catch Trophy Largemouth Bass
Experience the excitement of fishing for largemouth bass on our 30-acre private lake. Created 8 years ago and managed to produce large bass, we are now seeing the results of our careful management. We have strong, healthy bass up to 9 pounds swimming in what has to be bass heaven. Loaded with structure in the form of brush piles and flooded timber, our lake has been well-stocked with forage: shad, crawfish, sunfish and bluegills. Expect to catch 30-50 bass in a typical day of fishing.
Our catch-and-release trophy bass lake was completed in 2003 and today is one of the most exciting fisheries in the country! While several catches of over 100 bass have been documented in a mere afternoon of fishing, you can reasonably expect to catch and release 30 to 50 bass in the 2 to 5 pound range on an average day! Daily fishing packages are attractively priced and include lodging, meals, and guide. We have tackle available at the lodge for a nominal fee.

Our lake was designed specifically for fishing. Months before any stocking took place, we invested over 1,000 man-hours into strategically placed structure and cover: flooded timber, underwater humps, islands, drops, ledges, boulders, gravel beds and brush piles were all strategically man-made and provide the perfect environment for growing big, healthy bass. Then, before a single bass fingerling went into the water, we commenced the stocking of forage food: 9,000 adult crawfish, 55,000 copper-nosed bluegill, 6,000 red-ear bluegill, 12,000 fathead minnows, and 6,000 threadfin shad were all introduced and given ample time to spawn before any bass were introduced.
After creating such an incredible habitat, and with the careful guidance of leading fisheries biologist Greg Grimes, the first stocked Florida “F1” hybrid (Tiger Bass®) fingerlings grew from only one and one-half inches to more than three pounds in the first 15 months—explosive growth for any fishery! Gizzard shad were tactically introduced as forage in the spring of 2007 and help ensure that this explosive growth is continued and maintained. This is a relaxing, economical and fun-filled adventure for small groups, families and friends.
